Dear Charleston Brides and Grooms,
Surprise! It's the day of your Charleston elopement and the weather isn't what you hoped for. Don't worry, there is always Plan B.

Kristi and Mark planned to have their elopement at Washington Square Park in downtown Charleston. This is one of my favorite spots as a wedding officiant in Charleston. Beautiful trees, shade, right in the center of downtown.
When we woke up that morning, the weather forecast told us to switch gears. With the quick work of the excellent wedding planner (Gena Buff, b Wed Charleston), we decided to move the elopement to the couple's hotel room.

Not just a hotel room, a room at the famous Planters Inn. Planters Inn is a stunning boutique hotel in Charleston. It is located right in the thick of the downtown, on Market Street. It is one of the oldest hotels in the city, built in 1844.
Planters Inn is a beautiful spot for a wedding or elopement in Charleston, but they are most famous for their coconut cake!
Mark and Kristi ordered a slice to celebrate their ceremony! Yum!

So, at the end of the day, Mark and Kristi had a beautiful elopement ceremony, ate delicious cake, and took some beautiful pictures at Planters Inn and around the downtown of Charleston.
Congrats to the happy couple!!
